Everything on this site—text, images, videos, logos, designs, and the Bucket List Retreats name—is fully protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws.

Do not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or use any content from this website without explicit written permission from Bucket List Retreats.

Attempting to imitate, reproduce, or exploit any part of our website, brand, or intellectual property will trigger legal action, including civil and criminal penalties. Violators will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law, including payment of damages and attorney’s fees.

Bucket List Retreats’ name, logo, and trade dress are federally registered. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

Traveling with Us

1. What’s Not Included

Items or services not listed in your itinerary are not included in the trip price. This may include, but is not limited to:

Flights (international or domestic) and transportation not specified in the itinerary

Checked or excess baggage fees

Passport and visa fees

Travel protection/insurance of any kind

Donations, gratuities, and tips not listed

Laundry, phone calls, minibar, and beverages/meals not listed

Optional activities and experiences

Souvenirs and personal items

Taxes or surcharges assessed by governments or non-government entities

Traveler Responsibility: You are responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, medicines, supplies, and equipment as advised in pre-departure information.

2. Non-Operation of Group Trips

Some trips require a minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not met:

Bucket List Retreats™ may cancel the trip

Guests will be notified at least 30 days before departure

Alternative trip dates or arrangements may be offered

Full refund available if you choose to cancel

Bucket List Retreats™ is not responsible for additional costs such as visas, insurance, or airline tickets not booked through us.

3. Cancellations
Cancellation by Traveler

Must be submitted in writing to info@bucketlistretreats.com

Suppliers have their own cancellation policies; Bucket List Retreats™ is not responsible for Supplier refusals or failures to refund

Airline tickets and cruises follow the respective carrier or Supplier terms

Cancellation Charges (Per Person):

Days Before Departure Refund
120+ days 100% refund minus $1,000 non-refundable deposit + 3.5% processing fee
61–119 days 50% refund minus $1,000 non-refundable deposit + 3.5% processing fee
60 days or less Non-refundable

Tip: Purchase Travel Protection Insurance, including Cancel For Any Reason coverage, to protect your trip investment.

Cancellation by Bucket List Retreats™

Trips may be modified or canceled due to security, weather, or operational needs

Alternate arrangements may be offered; refunds or credits provided as appropriate

Additional costs outside of Bucket List Retreats™ bookings are the traveler’s responsibility

No Refund for Unused Arrangements

No refunds for unused portions of the trip

Late arrivals or early departures are the traveler’s responsibility

Force Majeure

Bucket List Retreats™ is not liable for loss, damage, delay, or cancellation due to Acts of God, pandemics, strikes, terrorism, war, or other unforeseen events

Refunds may be provided only if recovered from Suppliers

4. Travel Protection Insurance

Travel protection is not included in the trip price

Recommended coverage: Trip Cancellation/Interruption, Medical Expenses, Emergency Evacuation, Baggage, and optional Cancel For Any Reason

Must be purchased near time of booking

Bucket List Retreats™ may recommend options but is not liable for insurance issues or claims

Important: Certain countries require proof of valid insurance for entry. Travelers without adequate coverage assume all risk of loss.

5. Non-Responsibility

Bucket List Retreats™ uses third-party Suppliers (transportation, lodging, activities)

We do not operate these services and assume no liability for acts, omissions, or failures by Suppliers

Travelers agree Bucket List Retreats™ is not responsible for loss, injury, or damage caused by Suppliers, healthcare professionals, or others

6. Assumption of Risk & Waiver

Travel involves inherent risks including:

Accidents, injury, or death

Exposure to weather, animals, or hazardous terrain

Criminal acts, terrorism, or government actions

Foodborne illness, dietary issues, or allergic reactions

Transportation accidents, delays, or missed connections

Traveler Agreement:

Accepts full responsibility for risks

Releases Bucket List Retreats™ and its representatives from all claims, including negligence

Terms bind heirs, legal representatives, and assigns

7. Indemnification

Travelers agree to indemnify Bucket List Retreats™ for any losses, claims, damages, or legal costs resulting from:

Breach of these Terms

Negligence or misconduct

Force majeure events

Third-party claims

8. Traveler Behavior

Travelers must act responsibly and follow all guidelines

Bucket List Retreats™ may remove travelers for unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior without refund

Travelers are responsible for damage or loss caused by themselves or their group

Rules include:

Smoking only outdoors and away from the group

No drug use permitted

Responsible alcohol consumption required

9. Baggage & Personal Items

Travelers are responsible for baggage and personal items

Check airline websites for current baggage fees and restrictions

Recommended: one small/medium suitcase + carry-on

Luggage insurance is highly recommended

10. Flight Confirmation

Re-confirm flights 24 hours prior to departure

Arrive 2 hours early for domestic flights, 3 hours early for international

11. Health, Medical Conditions & Disabilities

Travelers confirm medical fitness or participate without physician approval

Trips may include walking, uneven surfaces, and inclines

Notify Bucket List Retreats™ of:

Disabilities or medical conditions

Pregnancy

Special requirements

Additional costs for accommodations or assistance are the traveler’s responsibility. Suppliers outside the USA may not meet ADA standards.

12. Photography, Video & Feedback

Travelers grant Bucket List Retreats™ a royalty-free, perpetual license to use photos, videos, and testimonials for marketing

Requests to remove media can be submitted via info@bucketlistretreats.com

Tours are a pitch-free zone; promotion of outside products is prohibited

13. Confidentiality

Travelers may share personal experiences but must keep other participants’ information confidential

Bucket List Retreats™ maintains confidentiality unless legally required to disclose

14. Class Action Waiver & Limitation of Damages

Claims must be brought individually, not as a class or representative action

Deposits indicate acceptance of these terms

Claims must be submitted within 30 days and filed within 1 year

Maximum liability: total amount paid for services

15. Governing Law & Venue

Terms governed by South Carolina law

Claims must be filed in Hilton Head Island, Beaufort County, SC

16. Electronic Communications

Travelers consent to receive electronic communications

Electronic communications satisfy any legal writing requirements

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms represent the entire agreement

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains valid

Ambiguities do not favor Bucket List Retreats™

Provisions survive expiration or termination as necessary
